Jamila Game Lodge is situated in the northern part of the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, a pristine wilderness area which includes the Big Five!

Set in the northern side of the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, this malaria free Big Five private game lodge is set in pristine African Wilderness.

Please note that there have been some bush fires in the reserve in recent months and some of the landscape is charred.

With five beautifully appointed chalets, we accommodate a maximum of 10 guests at a time.

Surrounded with striking Wild Seringa trees and spectacular views from the hill-tops, each chalet has en-suite bathrooms, an outside shower, complete with a private deck and Jacuzzi. Experience simple luxury in your beautiful chalet and enjoy our personalised service. 

A Sensational Dining Experience

A feast of flavours will complete your experience with meals being served in different locations every night. Under an open African sky you can dine on the main deck or in lamplight alongside the gently illuminated waterhole. Round off your break by enjoying a wonderful dinner in the Boma.

Enjoy high tea on the main lodge area overlooking the pool and nearby waterhole.

Relaxation & Activities

Cool down in our swimming pool on those hot sunny days and enjoy a refreshing drink from the bar, while relaxing on the main deck or in the lounge.

A close-by waterhole offers excitement throughout the day where a variety of animals quench their daily thirsts. Make yourself at home in our cosy lounge area which is the ideal pace to retire after dinner has been served.

Satellite TV is available in the TV lounge.

Your African Safari

Two daily Game Drives are conducted by our experienced nature guide, who has been working in the Welgevonden Game Reserve for many years. With exceptional knowledge of the animals and the area, Game Drives will certainly be a highlight!
