Situated in unquestionably one of the best game viewing areas in the Africa, Inyati Game Lodge offers you the ultimate experience combining wildlife and comfort.

The Sabi Sand Wildtuin (reserve) is home to the 'Big Five' (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo), as well as cheetah, wild dog and hundreds of other species of animals, birds and plants indigenous to the area.

View Africa’s most impressive wildlife on morning and afternoon/evening game drives in open 4-wheel drive safari vehicles with expert guides and Shangaan trackers. Game drives traverse an area of 10 000 hectares (24 700 acres) and strict vehicle limits at sighting ensure the exclusivity of your game viewing experience. Off-road driving ensures that you have the best possible view of any exceptional sighting and guides are constantly in touch with each other to keep track of animal movements. Guests can also enjoy interpretive guided bush walks offering the bird watcher, dendrologist, botanist and the nature enthusiast the ultimate bush experience. 

Inyati consists of three family chalets, four standard chalets and four executive chalets. Each air-conditioned chalet features en-suite bathroom with twin hand basins, separate bath, shower and w.c. The lodge accommodates 22 guests in total.

Internet and fax facilities are available to our guests in reception. Satellite TV is available in the lounge area.

There is complimentary internet (WiFi) access in the public area’s, however due to the location of the lodge, the wireless connection can be slow and intermittent

During your stay at Inyati, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife, including species such as leopard, lion, rhino, large herds of buffalo, elephant, reedbuck, hyena, hippopotamus, nyala, cheetah, wild dogs and many types of birds.

Inyati means buffalo in Shangaan /Tsonga which is one of the languages of the local people and Inyati is home to this powerful, indomitable breed.

Meals can be enjoyed on the open patio area (verandah) overlooking the Sand River. A combination of traditional South African and International dishes are always on the menu.

Bush Braai

Experience a traditional South African braai (barbeque) under a blanket of stars in the heart of the bushveld.

The crackling fire, friendly conversation and delicious food add to the excitement of hearing a lion’s roar in the distance.

Boma

A traditional African setting where unique delicacies are prepared on an open fire. Enjoy the friendly company of your ranger while being entertained with bushveld stories and experiences.

The rhythmic beat of a traditional African dance will entertain guests while aromas of food being prepared on the open fire fill the night sky.

Dietary Requirements

Please inform our reservations office of any special dietary requirements, your specific needs will gladly be catered for. Regretfully we do not have a kosher kitchen. The lodge is fully licensed.

Wine Cellar

Inyati has a walk in wine cellar that is stocked with over 2000 bottles of selected wines and champagnes.

A variety of some of South Africa’s top wines are available. Select your favourite wine to be enjoyed with your meal.
