Itinerary
Day 1
On arrival at Maun Airport, our representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight to Sanctuary Baines' Camp. The flying time is approximately 15 minutes. Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick-ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time. On arrival at the airstrip a representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. The transfer time is approximately 50 minutes. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities including serene mokoro and motorised boating excursions (subject to water levels), exclusive bush dinners and game drives in customised, open 4 x 4 vehicles - including the rare opportunity of night drives. As the camp is in a private concession, guests also have the exclusive option of walking safaris with an armed professional guide.

Day 2
The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. Your morning might be spent with three orphaned elephants who have been brought up in the area and are used to being with humans from an early age. Every morning the elephants go for a walk around their home range, foraging for food and checking that all is well. A few people each day are able to accompany them on their walk through the bush and see the wilds of Africa through the eyes of an elephant - a truly uplifting experience that makes a lasting impression on all who share their time with the elephants. The afternoon might be spent on a game drive - one that can be extended well into the night if you so wish. Venture out at night to see the many nocturnal animals that live here, using a spotlight to winkle out elusive nocturnal creatures including the ones that are easier to catch a glimpse of in the dark, like hyena and leopard.

Day 3
The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. The morning may be spent on a game drive. Our professional guides show the bush from a different perspective, up close and personal with the environment. Walking safaris are the perfect way to awaken your senses as you touch, feel and smell the African bush while listening to the various interesting stories the guides have to tell. Walks allow you to read the news of the night in the smooth sand of the road. Lion, leopard, elephants, genets and even millipedes are all part of the signs, each with their story to tell. Your afternoon activity might include a poled mokoro excursion along the narrow Delta channels. Sit back and relax as you glide through lily ponds in local dugout canoes cruising past a pod of hippos as they lie in a pool. Fish eagles, frogs, lilies and the quietness and gentle pace form much of this experience. ,

Day 4
Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast. A camp representative will transfer you to the airstripfor your Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Sanctuary Chief's Camp. The flying time is approximately 15 minutes. On arrival at the airstrip a representative will meet and transfer you to Sanctuary Chief's Camp. The transfer time is approximately 10 minutes. Sanctuary Chief's Camp is a luxury bush camp situated on Chief's Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve. This region is known as the "predator capital" of Africa and is considered to have the finest game viewing in Botswana including all of the Big Five. The afternoon is at leisure. Activities available include game drives and seasonal mokoro excursions (subject to water levels).

Day 5
The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer. The game viewing opportunities around Sanctuary Chief's Camp are awe-inspiring. The expert guides always on hand to share a wealth of wildlife knowledge, take guests deep into the bush in specially modified open 4 x 4 vehicles on morning and afternoon game drives to find the secluded places where elephant families congregate in search of the tastiest fruits and berries. On the plains one may find the roaming lions that prey on the thousands of antelope, zebra and buffalo who live here all year round. You may even spot wild dogs. These extremely rare predators have been hunted to the point of extinction in most areas of Africa and this is one of their last strongholds. Intensely curious, painted dogs, as they are known here, are extremely rewarding to view and accessible to only the few. There are several local lion prides as well as leopards, genet cats and hyenas are in abundance.

Day 6
After breakfast a camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip; the transfer time will be advised to you locally by the camp management. Depart Sanctuary Chief's Camp on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Maun Airport. The flying time to Maun is approximately 20 minutes.
