Cape Winelands Tour

We start our Cape Winelands Tour heading north to Paarl with our first stop at Anura Wine Estate for a cheese and wine tasting.

Making our way to Franschhoek, we stop at the Groot Drakenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela walked out a free man for a photo opportunity with his imposing statue. The village of Franschhoek nestled amongst the mountains is known as the food & wine capital of South Africa, so it is here that we will enjoy another wine tasting and a lunch stop (own account) in one of the many cafes & restaurants.

After lunch the tour continues over the Helshoogte Pass to the town of Stellenbosch with it’s oak lined streets, many examples of Cape Dutch & Victorian monuments, giving this place a charm that will not be forgotten. Time permitting, we will include a third wine tasting.

We return to Cape Town with amazing photos and fond memories.
