Overview
In 2012, the Camp was washed away in a flood, and has been rebuilt to offer a true home away from home. Today, a dry riverbed separates the Camp from a frequently used watering hole, which lies adjacent to the extensive entertainment area and commonly attracts jackals, hyenas, warthogs and elephants.
Amani Safari Camp provides accommodation for eight guests, in a private and tranquil setting. The layout of this Camp is unique, comprising one house with a central living area and four en-suite bedrooms. The beds can be made up as one king bed per room, or two single beds. Each bedroom has its own private entrance and large windows provide access to remarkable views of the Nature Reserve.
The central living area features two open plan lounges on the ground floor, as well as a library and a TV room on the open-air second level. A large deck provides the perfect setting for the ultimate dining experience or a moment to soak in the African sun.
The experience is heightened by Head Chef, Simon de Kock who was born and raised in Hoedspruit, Simon has Africa in his blood and passionately prepares healthy, interesting meals that are inspired by years of international travel, experience in five star restaurants and lodges, and Michelin training. Offering private dinners, boma banquets, and meals at a table laid in the heart of the bush, every meal served is an occasion.
Daily meals include game drive snacks, a post-game drive brunch, high tea and dinner. All ingredients are locally sourced, fresh produce and all breads, rusks and biscuits are made at Amani daily.
